At the Cyber Forum 4.0, the speech of Eng. Raffaele Boccardo highlights the role of Italy in secure digital transformation.

In the concluding panel “Key Takeaways of the Forum” – part of the Cyber 4.0 Forum, organized by the highly specialized national Center of Competence for cybersecurity, of which BV TECH is one of the founders – Ing. Raffaele Boccardo clearly outlined the crucial role of cyber security as an enabler for technological autonomy and economic development in the country.
“It is not enough to adopt technologies: we need to develop skills and proprietary solutions, valuing national know-how,” said Mr Boccardo, stressing the urgency of a systemic and coordinated action that goes beyond mere regulatory adaptation.
Together with him, Vincenzo Tagliaferri, Professor Emeritus of the University of Tor Vergata, emphasized the need for an interdisciplinary training, fundamental to face increasingly complex and hybrid threat scenarios.
In his speech, Boccardo also highlighted that cybersecurity is now a collective responsibility, which must permeate industrial processes, public administration and society, recalling the importance of constant dialogue between academia, institutions and companies.
The panel was moderated and concluded by Paolo Spagnoletti, President of Cyber 4.0, who reaffirmed the strategic role of Competence Centers as drivers of innovation and collaboration in digital security.
The meeting offered a clear and concrete vision on the evolution of cybersecurity in Italy, touching key aspects such as the construction of resilient infrastructures, the protection of national technological capital and innovation at the service of digital sovereignty.
