SECUREOPENNETS
Distributed Ledgers For Secure Open Communities RS For Secure Open Communities
The project intends to study new methodologies, techniques and software solutions capable of playing an enabling role for Blockchain technologies in the application contexts of privacy, sharing economy and digital rights.
First, we intend to study and prototype innovative services and solutions by exploiting the potential of Distributed Ledgers, which are capable of supporting the management of the life cycle of privacy consents and related processes while preserving their security characteristics and enabling, at the same time, analysis activities, monitoring and verification of regulatory compliance.

Role
Security and resilience for your data
With reference to the sharing economy, the interest is to develop innovative services for the safe sharing and exchange of goods and services by multiple players, implementing sharing rules, payment methods, etc.
Instead, in the context of Digital Rights, the intention is to develop a set of innovative solutions with particular reference to the creator-user relationship.
The modelling of the new services will be carried out by starting from the prototyping of platforms based on innovative technologies that, in addition to Blockchain, include the Internet of Value (Cryptocurrencies and Wallets), the Internet of Things (Sensors and Smart Objects) and Artificial Intelligence.
Researches on Distributed Ledger methodologies also pave the way for the creation of high-level analytics tools that combine advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques.
The approach that will be adopted will have modularity as its cornerstone to allow the easy extension and maintenance of the tools. This represents a notable advancement compared to the current state, which today is extremely lacking in terms of tools that analyse data flows in the ledger.
The new skills that we intend to generate will allow increased use of these technologies in different fields where the exchange of information in a safe and traceable manner is required, and guarantee new job opportunities in the reference regions, both within the proposing companies and through the creation of new innovative start-ups in various application areas studied.
These innovations will also allow us to obtain technological advances that will also be exploited in different application contexts, generating an interesting cross-fertilization.
