SECUREWATER
SECUre and REsilient cyber physical systems for scada in WATER systems enhanced by comprehesive analysis capabilities
The project is oriented towards the development of new products and methods for monitoring and controlling the security of CPS (Cyber Physical System) used in critical drinking water distribution infrastructures.
The main objectives of the project are: a) to develop an innovative security management model for IT systems called IACS (Industrial Automation Control Systems) dedicated to the governance of Critical Infrastructures b) to create an operational prototype capable of supporting the managers of water distribution networks in the identification and management of cyber and/or biological attacks.

Role
A new management model
The proposed management model is based on three pillars: technologies, processes and people.
The technologies used for the development of the project are: Cyber Physical Systems or CPS, Anomaly Algorithms Detection, Secure Communications between the RTU and the control centre.
The project envisages the verification and the experimental validation of the prototype at the Jerusalem water distribution network (Hagihon).
Partner for Israel is the company IOSight Ltd, a leader in solutions for the collection of data from IACS systems as well as from other sources, and in the analysis and representation aimed at identifying anomalies, optimizing the water management cycle and evaluating productivity and management costs.
As part of the project, BV TECH will apply its secure communication technologies to conversations between RTU and SCADA, while developing a Risk Management Assessment for water distribution networks.
