Simulation platform for EDA and AM
A technological platform with virtual reality available to EDA Nations
The project, called Tactical Personnel Recovery Mission Simulator (TPRMS), was launched in April 2019, with the aim of creating a technological platform with virtual reality (VR) that was available to the European Defence Agency and the Italian Air Force, which would allow military forces to test tactics, techniques and procedures in a risk-free environment.

BV TECH actively participated in the development of the platform by designing and integrating approximately 18 interconnected training stations including flight and vehicle stations, helicopter simulator, soldier simulators and gunner station for joint collective training.
On November 18, 2021, the TPRMS achieved Initial Operational Capability (IOC). To celebrate this important milestone, an inauguration ceremony was organized at the air base of the Aerospace Operations Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico, with the participation of the whole Group.
This project is managed and co-financed by the European Defence Agency and the Italian Ministry of Defence, which acts through the Air Force as a project leader and Host Nation.
The new simulation platform marks a significant achievement for the European community for ground personnel recovery actions because such capability does not currently exist in Europe.
